Commercial Model
A route toward £1,000/month.
A planning model rather than a revenue promise. The objective is to build multiple modest income streams around a credible free publication.
Illustrative monthly mix
| Income stream | Illustrative volume | Monthly gross |
|---|---|---|
| ANTIVAX+ memberships | 120 × £4.99 | £598.80 |
| Evidence brief / research licences | 2 × £150 | £300 |
| One clearly-labelled sponsorship | 1 × £150 | £150 |
| Illustrative total | £1,048.80 | |
Not a forecast: audience growth, conversion, payment fees, tax, editorial costs and whether advertisers will accept the subject matter can materially change the result.
1. Build trust first
Grow the free Claim Library, Evidence Updates and archive. Membership becomes easier to sell once readers repeatedly find the free material useful.
2. Sell depth, not conclusions
Premium value comes from research time saved: source packs, timelines, datasets and extended reports — not from telling subscribers what they want to hear.
3. Keep sponsorship separate
Any commercial placement should be visibly labelled and should not purchase favourable editorial coverage.
